Lay four pieces of bamboo on top of each other to form a rectangle this will form the front and back of the tiki bar. You can choose the dimension that suits your personal needs when making a tiki bar. To prevent the bamboo avoid nailing the bamboo and use transom knots instead. Then repeat the process again so that you have two rectangular frames of the same size. When you have the two rectangles complete you need to gently tack on your straw matting to cover the frames.
Now you need six pieces of bamboo of the same length. Stand your two large rectangles up and tie one bit of bamboo to each of the ends and another in the center of the frame to act as the support. Do the same at the bottom of the bar.
Next cut lengths of bamboo to place on top of the bar to form the bench of the tiki bar. The bamboo pieces should be approximately the same size, but a little bit of difference can just add to the charm. Lay the bamboo pieces along the top and gently tack them into place until the top of the bar is finished.
